MSP (Minimum Support Prices) for Kharif Crops for marketing season 2021-22

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved an increase in the Minimum Support Prices (MSPs) for all mandatory Kharif crops for the marketing season 2021-22.

The MSP for Kharif crops has been enhanced by the government for the marketing season 2021-22 in order to ensure that growers receive fair prices for their produce. The highest absolute increase in MSP over the previous year has been attributed to sesamum (Rs. 452 per quintal), followed by tur and urad (Rs. 300 per quintal each). Groundnut and nigerseed prices have risen by Rs 275 per quintal and Rs 235 per quintal, respectively, compared to last year. Crop diversity is encouraged by the differential pay.
